Colts Weekend Round-Up

Here is the weekly round up of team performances from all our Cottenham Colts teams from Mini-League through to the Girls League from Saturday 23rd September.

GIRLS TEAMS

Under-10s v Melbourn Dynamos

The Under-10s girls continued their great form at the start of the season with another complete team performance away at Melbourn. The whole squad put all their efforts into the game today and worked hard for each other.

Great to see some fantastic teamwork and encouragement from the girls against a good team who put them under pressure in the game. Well done Girls!!

Under-11s [Purple] v Cambourne

The Girls played some fantastic football today in their league clash with Cambourne. Both sides played well in the first half and there was nothing to split the sides at the break but the Purples came out after half-time and took control of the game with some fantastic play, especially down the wings.

Under-13s 7 v 1 Ely Crusaders

Great performance from our girls today. Maddie opened the scoring with a great solo run. Then Marnie got free and finished brilliantly for 2-0. Hannah scored direct from a corner for 3 and hit a long range effort for 4. Lila picked up a fifth goal before Ely pulled one back to make it 5-1 at half time.

The second half was more dominace from Cottenham with a blasted goal from Leila and another from Lila with a blistering sprint down the middle to make it 7-1. Player of the game went to Flossie for a faultless performance at full back and a second half clean sheet as Goalkeeper. Three wins from three now.

Under-16s 6 v 2 Haddenham Rovers Colts

It was three wins from three for the Under-16s team as they put in a fine performance against Haddenham Rovers Colts at home and kept their good form going. Goals from Emma [2], Milly [2], Tya and Hope secured the win in fine style.
