UNDER-9s v Haverhill Rovers [League Cup Plate]
It was the inaugural cup match for the Under-9s at home against Haverhill. The boys were thrilled to take part in a cup game, and their excitement was evident as they made a powerful start to the match.
The boys maintained their positions effectively and demonstrated excellent passing, making it challenging for Haverhill to defend.
The game was tightly contested, with both teams putting in a strong effort.

GIRLS TEAMS RESULTS

UNDER-12s 1 v 0 Over Sports
The girls were eager to secure their first points of the season as we took on our longtime rivals, Over Sports Youth FC. It was another tightly contested match, just like the previous encounters.
Both teams aimed to strike early, but the defenses held strong as they clashed in midfield. Isla seemed poised to break the stalemate for the home team with her dynamic runs from midfield, yet a few close attempts went astray. Emilia and Joss showcased impressive defensive skills, keeping the away team at bay.
As we approached half-time, the home side took the lead when Isla netted her first goal of the season with a precise finish into the corner.
In the second half, the pattern continued, with a fierce struggle in the center of the pitch as both teams gave their all. Ava made a significant impact in the second half, driving the home side forward. Maisie almost doubled the lead, but her shot was cleared just in time. Niamh remained secure in goal as the match concluded with a single goal. It was a hard-fought three points, with both teams contributing to an exciting game.
Joss earned the player of the match title for her strong defensive performance and impressive runs from the full-back position.
Great win, girls!!!

UNDER-13s [PURPLE] 0 v 4 Cambridge City
Today at home against Cambridge City, we found ourselves trailing shortly after kickoff when a cross from the left found its way into the net. It was a bit unfortunate, but it was a well-placed ball. City quickly added a second goal a few minutes later, breaking through a tackle and finishing skillfully to make it 2-0. The third goal came from a corner when we failed to clear the ball properly.
In the second half, the girls showed significant improvement. We conceded another goal from a corner, bringing the score to 4-0 (definitely an area we need to improve on), but we also created some excellent opportunities. The highlight was when Khia set up Tasharna, whose shot was somehow saved by the goalkeeper.
In the end, it was a defeat, but the team put up a strong fight, particularly in the second half. Tasharna was named Player of the Game for completing her first full match after returning from injury.
Great job, girls!
